How to delete your Vandalsyn data, including data connected from Instagram or Facebook

Vandalsyn gives you two ways to remove your data: disconnect a linked Instagram or Facebook account (which deletes the data received through that connection), or delete your entire Vandalsyn account (which removes all of your personal data). Both are described below, along with how to make the request by email if you can no longer sign in.

1. Disconnect Instagram or Facebook

If you are a tattoo artist who connected an Instagram Business or Facebook Page account, you can disconnect it at any time from Account Settings → Connected Accounts in the Vandalsyn app. When you disconnect:

• Vandalsyn stops receiving new messages from that Instagram or Facebook account.
• Messages previously received through that connection are deleted from your Vandalsyn inbox.
• The access token Vandalsyn held for that connection is revoked and deleted.

You can also remove Vandalsyn's access from the Instagram or Facebook side, under the Business Integrations / Apps and Websites settings of your Meta account. Doing so has the same effect.

2. Delete your entire Vandalsyn account

To delete your whole account and all associated personal data, go to Account Settings → Delete Account in the Vandalsyn app and confirm. This removes your profile, messages, uploaded design content and reference photos, and any data received from a connected Instagram or Facebook account.

Some records are retained after account deletion where the law requires it or where they belong to another person's active project — for example, payment and tax records, and signed booking agreements. This is described in Section 6 of our Privacy Policy.

3. Request deletion by email

If you cannot sign in, or you would rather have us process the deletion for you, email [email protected] with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.” Include the email address on your Vandalsyn account and, if relevant, the Instagram or Facebook account that was connected.

We will verify that the request comes from the account holder and complete the deletion within 30 days, subject to the retention exceptions noted above. We will email you to confirm when it is done.
